    Byron, George Gordon Noel, sixth Baron Byron (–), poet, was born on 22 January at 16 (later 24) Holles Street, London, the son of Captain John Byron (–) and his second wife, Catherine, née Gordon (–).In the visitations of Nottingham of and the family pedigree begins with Sir Richard Byron, of Byron and Clayton in Lancashire, whose son Sir John.
